The students will need the ability to strategise and implement sound managerial methods in the international marketing place. Part 1 (30%): This is a written report that represents the first part of your international marketing plan the situation analysis. It will include an introduction of the company/brand/product/service that you have chosen to do your international marketing plan on. You will conduct an internal and external environmental and competitor analysis. You will identify the reason for choosing to take this product to another country and the competitive advantage, target market and positioning of your product/service in the country you have chosen. Some Pointer: Ensure you are selecting a company you wish to focus on ..but remember the purpose of this exercise is to ascertain the (theoretical) processes of international marketing. So if your company is already exporting (or importing) the product/service or business concept to the country you have chosen .the next logical step is to look for another country they DO NOT export to. In essence you are looking to go through the processes as defined in this course and use the company as an example of how you understand this.
