Typing shall be in double or one and a half line spacing (except indented quotations or footnotes where single spacing may be used). If a student chooses to provide double-sided text, particular care must be taken to fulfil all the requirements specified in these regulations, e.g. legibility, pagination and margin widths.Pagination Pages of text and appendices should be numbered consecutively through the thesis including photographs and/or diagrams where possible.Title Page The title page should give the following information: the full title and sub title, if any; the full name of the author; the phrase This dissertation is submitted in part fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of MA/MSc [insert programme title] ; The University of Leeds followed by Leeds University Business School ; the month and year of submission; your dissertation supervisor word count The title page should be followed by your declaration of academic integrity, which should also be bound into your dissertation. The title page and declaration of academic integrity can be downloaded from the VLE underTable of contents, lists of tables and illustrative material The contents page should list the Chapter Headings and the breakdown into sections. A list of tables a list of figures and list of appendices should be provided where applicable. It is often convenient to break each chapter into numbered sections, e.g. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1 etc. These should be listed on the Contents Page to make for ease of reference.Illustrative materials, drawings, maps, photographs, computer print-out, etc. Wherever practicable such illustrative matter should have a binding margin of at least 40 mm and, if possible, be bound in the dissertation near the appropriate text. Material that cannot conveniently be bound in the dissertation should be included in a pocket inside the back cover. Photo-reduced tables and charts may be included in the thesis provided that the photo-reduced copies are of good quality and in a form consistent with the need for clarity and legibility. The use of adhesives, glues and adhesive tape should be avoided if at all possible but, if their use cannot be avoided, students should ensure that the type used is selected from those specialist products available that give permanent adhesion without affecting the quality of the insertion. Students are warned that many materials degrade with time and it is important that only materials of archival quality are used.Acknowledgements It is not compulsory to include a list of acknowledgements, but it is common practice to do so. Students may wish to acknowledge the part their Supervisor has played in assisting them in the preparation of the dissertation, as well as others such as family members who have helped in the production of the dissertation.
