I hope that along the way, you will also learn more about the topic that was of interest to you! This assignment will NOT be graded lightly. If any of the requirements stated below are not met, you will not receive a good grade. Use this handout as a guide while youre writing.?Make sure you have included ALL the information required. Presentation (e.g. formatting), grammar and spelling will also be considered. If youre going to go to the trouble of researching and writing a paper, then it should be written in a clear and organized manner. Words should be spelled correctly, sentences should be complete, and paragraphs should be arranged so that a logical, coherent story is told. You will want to write a rough draft and review it many times before you produce a final draft. Proofread your paper many times before turning it in. DO NOT start this paper the night before it is due! This paper is worth a total of 100 points and is due in class no later than Monday, Apr. 15. In some, very rare cases, late papers may be accepted at the discretion of the teacher and ONLY if the student has made contact with the teacher and discussed the circumstances surrounding the need for an extension prior to the due date. Below is the list of requirements that must be met for each content category. Note that the requirements vary according the category you choose. Be sure to read the correct requirements for your category and address each one as fully as possible. Be advised that a single sentence, or even two or three sentences, does guarantee you have adequately addressed that requirement. Simply stating, there is no cure, is not an adequate explanation for that issue. Content: Disease or Disorder. You must address what the treatments are, how effective each treatment is and if the disease/disorder can be cured. Make sure to explain if treatments function only to lessen symptoms or if the treatments actually cure the disease. If there are no treatments or cures, you must clearly state that and discuss what, if anything, is being done to develop them. 3. A discussion of at least one unique fact or interesting information that you havent already covered. 4. Why you chose to research this particular disease or disorder.
